Arkesh
Mehta is one of the founding members of Avanti Therapeutics and
has served as a member of our board of directors and as our
Chairman since December 2002. Dr. Mehta served as CIO for
Biotechnology Industry Organization prior to joining Avanti
Therapeutics. Dr. Mehta has worked in biotech industry for more
than 20 years in various management positions including Office
of the commissioner, FDA, Office of R&D, EPA, USDA, ARS,
Phillips International and Vedas Inc. He has also served as
Associate Professor of Research at Cornell University. From
September 2001 to June 2002, Dr. Mehta served as a CSO for LGA,
Inc. Dr. Mehta received his M.S and PhD in Microbiology. from MS
University. In addition to being a director of BPI Technologies
and PhotoChem Laboratories, Dr. Mehta is a director of a number
of private companies.
